A Comparative Estimation of the WorldView-2 Orthophotos Geometrical Accuracy
I.V. On'kov (Mobile JSC, Perm)
#1, p 19
A comparison is fulfilled for the accuracy of the two images of the Perm city territory obtained from the WorldView-2 spacecraft and orthorectified using the two digital elevation models - Topo25 and SRTM. The Topo25 DEM has been created based on the topographic map on a scale of 1:25,000 with vertical interval of 5 m. It is shown that the orthophotos' accuracy is almost independent on the choice of DEM. A conclusion is done on the both possibility and economic efficacy of using the SRTM DEM for processing the WorldView-2 images with the small off-nadir angles for creating large scale orthophotoplans.
